Learning to play the drums is even more fun with so-called doublestrokes. It sounds complicated, but it’s simply hitting the drums twice. Still, it’s pure gold. Enjoy:
After the double strokes, we’ll look at how to use the double bass drum. This will really get us going, as it opens the door to playing pretty wicked beats. But wait, there’s more.
The double bass drum helps beginners to play things which are much harder to play with a single bass drum. And as usual: do only what you want to do – be yourself. The following list is a suggestion, not a set concept. Let’s go – move your legs and feet:

Let’s move to the topic of playing technique. Judging by the name, you may expect boring exercises, playing dry monotonous stuff for hours on end to improve your technique. But actually – remember we’re at the Open Music School – it’s a wide range of different techniques with something for everyone.
Watch the videos in the suggested order or in any order you like and choose something you enjoy. Your abilities will grow in time. And if there’s something you especially like, find the corresponding play-along and play with it. Downloading the play-alongs is free for non-members as well.
